The following chronology was compiled and  presented to the VIBS on January 4, 2006.

Fall  2004

1. SKG discussions started after Homecoming 2004.

-- Tina emailed Karen on 9/10 asking her to describe Gaby as the director of our Euro-Shiloh division on the licensed breeder page so that we could start showing her some support.

--Tina asked Gaby to send her copies of the rules (SKG, FCI), etc.

2. On 9/21/04, in an attempt to give Gaby some form of credibility, Tina posted on SSF, encouraging SSF forum members in Europe to join our new (Euro) chapter.

3. The weekend of Sept. 25-26, 2004 Tina and Karen started investigating the FCI rules and listing items that the Board would have to take under advisement.

4. Starting the week of Sept. 26th and for the next month, the UKC fiasco and the NESSA/MAC specialties took priority and we could not continue the SKG investigation.

5. By 10/14/04 Gaby managed to figure out the forums and posted:
Hello together after long time it is possieble to join this forum. Thanks for help Karen i hope it will work now. Soon our Swiss Shiloh Cpter of ISSR will have a new webside this time also in english we are working hard on it.We had a GREAT first europan homecoming at the end of day there were about 60 people wich was join us turing the whole day. The dogs are so AWESOME the people just went wow. I wish You all a wunderfull day i be back soon again Gaby

6. By the end of October we had managed to put together our case to the UKC, received confirmation from Mr. Cavanaugh that the slivers were not going to receive UKC recognition and managed to inform our members of the victory.

7. During October-November-December Tina was promoting the new chapter and trying to encourage our members to show their support by joining.

a. On Nov. 3, Gaby sent a letter to Tina to "fix" and email out to all of our members. Please note Gaby's reply on SSC, dated  Nov. 11, 2005  regarding this particular letter.

b. On 11/27/04 Tina referred to Gaby as the "European breed warden" on SSF.

c. On December 22, 2004 Karen posted a link to a draft SSC membership application on the SSDCAmembers forum. Tina also mentioned it on SSF.

January - March 2005

During the months of January, February and into March Tina was heavily involved with chapter outlines and taping sessions with Cinnamon Kennedy for The Shiloh Shepherd Story.

8. In mid February Gaby came to the States to pick up Chance and talk to Tina about several NB potentials.  She brought a lot of pictures and pedigrees (in German) for Tina to look at but did not explain any details regarding various potential combinations.  During that time the ESSR was also discussed in regard to an acceptable system of data collection.  (Please see Part II)

9. On March 17, 2005 Tina started posting about FCI recognition on OSS and the LB's enthusiastically started requesting more information.

"I think we need to talk about this ... now!!

Please take a deep breath & then think about this carefully ... then reply!!

Do we want FCI recognition ... or do we want to keep going like this, fighting the splinters continuously??

Keep in mind, that there is always a PRICE involved ... and the FCI system is a LOT harder to swallow then the ISSR rules you all have been dealing with!!

I would like to see some honest answers here"

On March 18th, Gaby posted on OSS that the new rules would be explained at the Licensed Breeder meeting at Homecoming.

May-August 2005

From mid-May until mid-November Tina was heavily involved with the book manuscript, which had to be the number one priority at that time.

10. On July 9, 2005 Tina posted that she had just received the SKG rules (in German) and would be looking for someone to help translate.

11. August 2005 (Homecoming): Gaby gave her presentation and accepts new members for her chapter. Many join because Tina asked them to just to show their support (without seeing the rules), even though the dues are $95 yearly.

12. On August 29, 2005, Karen posted Gaby's presentations from Homecoming on the VIB forum for those who were not able to attend the LB meeting at Homecoming.

September 2005

On September 5, 2005, Karen posted Gaby's SSC rules (as translated from the German) on the VIB forum. This was the first time anyone had seen the presentation and the rules in writing. Much discussion ensued as people started comprehending the implications.

13. On Sept. 14, 2005, the board met and voted to set up a committee to review FCI and SKG requirements with a report to be presented upon completion.

October-November 2005

14. Gaby sent an email to Tina giving a deadline for agreeing to move forward towards applying to the SKG and said that with or without us, the SSC was going to move forward.

On Nov. 1, 2005 the board met to discuss this and the following letter was sent to Gaby:

Gaby,

The SSDCA has been promoting and embracing the Swiss Shiloh Chapter as part of the SSDCA on our websites, in our newsletters, on our forums, and in magazine advertising for the past year. At a meeting of the Advisory Board held last night, Tina shared a little bit of your intentions regarding the SKG and your upcoming meeting. All of the board members in attendance (Tina, Corinne, Lyn, Pam, Debbie and myself) were united in our disappointment and concern that you would present Tina and the club with an ultimatum to go forward seeking SKG recognition with or without the participation of the SSDCA.

You requested in your email that Tina make the decision to go forward with you or not on behalf of the club. Yet, it is not her decision alone to make. She is not a dictator, and our club is democratically run. As president of the SSDCA, she represents the membership of the club, not just herself. She has to consult with the board as well as the membership, especially before taking such a momentous step. Accordingly, you met with many of our Licensed Breeders at Homecoming, we discussed the matter on the VIB list in September, and on September 15th, the board appointed a committee to review things further and present a report to the board (and membership) after Thanksgiving (late November). You knew this. Yet you presented Tina with your ultimatum.

We have already received questions from our members, who joined your chapter at Homecoming, believing that they were helping the breed and that your chapter was united with our club for the good of the Shiloh Shepherd Dog, asking what they are getting out of the membership with your chapter. Were they informed of your intent to go it alone or of the meeting that you are having on Nov. 5th?

Accordingly, we request that you provide us with a list of our members who joined your chapter. We have set up a forum on the Shiloh Shepherds Community Forums website for you and the members of your chapter to discuss your plans. We would also like to send invitations to your European members if you would provide me with their email addresses.

We further request that you provide a full explanation of your intentions in applying to the SKG and/or FCI at a later date prior to your board meeting of Nov. 5th.

Would it be possible for you to attend an on-line chat with members of the SSDCA Advisory and Executive Boards on November 13th?

If our positions cannot be reconciled, we may be forced to take action to revoke our recognition of your chapter and notify our members of such. Those members who joined your chapter may then seek to have their 2006 membership dues refunded.

Gaby's response was:

Karen,

i dident mean to set an ultimatum but we need also to go on here and i take care that we can do it together but my member want also feedback and to know from the usa what is going on..so i am btw usa and europe and this is not easy and the languegebarrier is also things get twisted around.........

i will tell me members from the forum and hope they will join it as well......i can not give you the emails of them without promission of them.....i will get in troubel if i do.....

i told on HC that the SSC will try to reach SKG but it is not sure that we even get it but we will try.....and Tina wrote on OSS to join us as well that we have enough members......this was about april-may........in august the swiss shiloh chapter has allready enough members to go without your memebers but Tina want you to be also a part of it and so it comes that i was explaining this on HC........than i agreed to take the money with me so your member dont have the cost of the transfer from the banc i did this in good meaning of you and saving money for you......i explained also that they dont want have much from this membership so they now what they signed in...and i am sorry we do not refund the money back we do not busniess like this..........all members are over 18 and should know what they sign........

if you dont want us to be a part anymore okay let us know we will do our owne way than it would be shame but than it is like it is........

15. On Nov. 2nd,  Tina requested that we open up a new Swiss Shiloh Chapter forum in order to discuss these issues directly with Gaby and the old and new members of her chapter.

16.  Pleading the language barrier, Gaby agreed to modify the SSC rules to make them align better to those of the SSDCA and ISSR.  Karen worked with her to provide our rules.  Gaby removed information from her websites until differences between the two were reconciled.  Since she was going to be off line for two months thing were postponed until her return in late March.

2006

17.  On March 25, 2006 Gaby resigned from the SSDCA, ISSR and all positions and posted on the SSC forum that the SSC was being dissolved effective June 2006.

This was preceded and soon followed by resignations from three LB's who had purchased pups from her Phantom litter.
