August 97 Homecoming Invitation
Dear Shiloh Owners & Fanciers
.... Since I am mailing this invitation
to owners first and foremost, I realize that many of you are not
members of the SSDCA Inc. and have not been aware of the changes that
have taken place this past year. The club is closing down, and a
new club, the International Shiloh Shepherd Dog Club, is taking over all
of the official club responsibilities. If you want to stay
informed about your breed, I would like to strongly urge you to join
this club ASAP! I am sure that a representative will be available all
weekend to answer any questions you may have! Please be sure to get
involved, for the sake of your dogs, in future activities.
Let me assure you again that the new club
does not control your registry, the ISSR, Inc! Although many have
confused the club and registry in the past. You have to take
some time to educate yourself regarding the specific functions of both
(diverse) entities! ISSR rules and regulations booklets will be
available ($2.00 each) at Homecoming. So if you do not have one, please
be sure to pick up a copy! All Shiloh owners, future owners, and
especially breeders should be well acquainted with the present rules!
Over the next year I will be working very closely with the VIBs to
determine if and when, various rules should be revised, or new ones
added! If you have any suggestions concerning these changes, please
contact my VIB secretary, Lisa J. Barber
.She is also the ISSR
secretary and can answer your registry questions....
